The rain was falling hard over the city of Dhaka that night. Roads glistened like black mirrors, and the sound of thunder echoed like distant heartbreak.
Ayaan stood under a broken streetlight, cigarette in hand, leather jacket soaked. He wasn’t the kind of boy mothers wanted for their daughters — but he was the kind girls fell for without warning.
Riya appeared from the mist — elegant, confident, but with eyes that carried secrets. She was on her way home from university when the storm forced her to take shelter under the same broken streetlight.
Their eyes met.
For a moment, the noise of the rain faded. Ayaan smirked, “Seems like the rain planned this.”
Riya rolled her eyes but couldn’t help smiling back. It was the beginning of something neither of them could have imagined.
They started meeting often. Midnight walks, late-night phone calls, stolen glances in crowded places. Ayaan was reckless but gentle with her. He loved her like the ocean loves the shore — wild, unstoppable.
